Ingredients
- 4 (14 oz.) cans of green beans
- 1 medium sweet onion, dices
- 5 strips of bacon
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup brown sugar
Directions
- Mix ketchup, diced onion, and brown sugar together for the topping.
- Cook bacon and chop or crumble when done. (save the bacon grease)
- Pour the bacon grease into the casserole dish.
- Dump the green beans into the dish, pour on the topping, then sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
- Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
Sweet Potato Casserole
Ingredients
- 5 Sweet Potatoes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp. Vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Toppings:
- 1/2 cup Pecans
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup gf flour
Directions
- Boil and then drain and mash sweet potatoes.
- Combine butter, milk, vanilla, eggs, and sugar together. Mix well and then add to potatoes. Stir until combined.
- Transfer potato mixture to a 13 x 9 baking dish. Spread evenly.
- Combine topping ingredients together and then spread over the top of the casserole.
- Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes.
